Road Construction and Coatings

Definition

our solutions

The service life of road surfaces depends on many factors, but first of all, premature destruction of coatings is caused by insufficient water and frost resistance of asphalt , which is manifested in peeling and painting, turning into potholes on the coatings.

PARACHEM ® complex asphalt modifier ” CMA ” is a system of components in the form of powder or granules, created to improve the performance of asphalt pavement.

CMA-granulated powder based on fine-dispersed rubber with active chemistry, improves the adhesion properties and physical and mechanical characteristics of asphalt concrete.

In asphalt concrete, CMA particles become elastic centers that relieve internal stress and reduce plastic deformations.

The modifier has a complex effect on asphalt concrete:

– the bituminous binder is modified (at the stage of preparation of asphalt concrete mix) due to the interaction of bitumen and rubber (rubber powder).

– not dissolved in bitumen, the rubber crumb works in asphalt concrete as elastic centers that relieve internal stress and reduce plastic deformations.

– The “CMA” modifier is effective when used in dense asphalt concrete mixtures of type A, B and C, as well as in macadam and mastic asphalt concrete.

– Using “CMA” for cast and vibro-cast mixtures allows you to create waterproofing coating layers on bridges and overpasses. The combination of high strength, shear stability and elasticity of such asphalt concrete makes their use on metal bridges effective.
